Score Physical Therapy hosts an annual Patient and Physician Appreciation Evening in which we take time to thank everyone for being a part of the Score family. We also participate in the Chamber of Commerce Capitola Art and Wine Festival. Score Physical Therapy provides Athletic Training Services at the Santa Cruz Triathon.
Score Physical Therapy collects food annually for Santa Cruz Harvest Food Bank. Keep an eye out for our next campaign to give back!
Score Physical Therapy provides Athletic Training Services to Aptos High School and San Lorenzo Valley High School. The American Academy of Family Physicians, American Medical Association, American Academy of Pediatrics, and the National Athletic Trainers Association recommend that high school athletes nationwide have daily access to appropriate medical care. Score Physical Therapy is proud to answer this call at local schools in our communities. In cooperation with team physicians, our certified athletic trainers (ATCs) are on-site daily to provide care to hundreds of student-athletes.
Athletic Trainers are health care professionals who specialize in the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of injuries and illnesses. The athletic trainer prepares and provides coverage of sports practices and games, manages acute and chronic injuries, and coordinates additional care with local physicians and our physical therapy offices.
As for other services we offer, safety education for PG&E utility workers, pre-employment screens, post-offer pre-employment physical function screens, return to work screens for several companies, and ergonomic work-site training.
Score Physical Therapy are members of the Capitola Chamber of Commerce and the Rotary Group; we proudly support their local events. We also participate annually in the Physicians Medical Group, Dominican Hospital and Dignity Health Medical Group Health & Lifestyle Expo for Women.
Each year, Score PT launches multiple fundraising campaigns to involve our community while giving back. During the month of March, we host a NCAA Men’s Basketball tournament bracket in which donations go directly to Leo’s Playground. In July, we Honor Our Heroes by highlighting stories of patients, family, and friends of those serving or who have served in the military. In October, we participate in Pink October by selling t-shirts to benefit WomenCare.
"The treatment I received was outstanding The staff took the time to thoroughly examine the extent of my injury, developed a stepbystep treatmenttherapy program and provided and instructed me on an athome exercise regime that allowed me to continue to build strength and flexibility even after inclinic treatment was completedI was not the only patient who received excellent treatment During the five weeks I visited the clinic I had the opportunity to observe how other patients were treated and I was impressed with how each one received the same professional, caring service I experienced You all are truly an asset to the medical community Thanks again for the referral"~ Richard
